• Job Details
• This nursing position is for a 1E MedSurg - Infectious Disease unit (Cost Center 15) at Camden Clark Medical Center.
• It involves 12-hour shifts: 0700-1930 for day shift, 1900-0730 for night shift with a 1/2 hour lunch break.
• Permanent staff does self-scheduling, while travelers will be scheduled where needed and block scheduling may be allowed if unit needs are met.
  • Job Requirements
  • BLS is the only required certification.
  • Strong knowledge in MedSurg, Infectious Diseases, and Isolation precautions.
  • No requirement to titrate cardiac drips.
  • Must be able to handle typical MedSurg IV medications and antibiotics.
    • Schedule Information
    • Shifts are 12 hours long with a 1/2 hour lunch break.
    • Self-scheduling for permanent staff, with travelers scheduled as needed.
    • Every other weekend work is required with specific days depending on the shift.
    • Holidays may be required depending on the needs of the unit.
    • Callable or standby may be required for low census situations, subject to contract specifics.
      • Unit Specific Information
      • The unit's nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6, or 1:4 if caring for COVID patients.
      • Typically staffed with 3-4 RNs per shift.
      • The unit is supported by 2 CNAs per shift.
      • No ventilator equipment on the unit; patients on Cpap, Bipap, or high flow are managed by Respiratory Therapy.
      • Remote telemetry is monitored from the 3rd floor, no requirement for RNs to read or interpret strips.
      • A Charge Nurse is present 24/7.

        • Travelers must submit an unexpired copy of their driver's license upon application.
        • BLS certification must be from the American Heart Association.
