  • Job Details
  • 5S Trauma Stepdown (IMC/PCU) RN
  • 3x12 or 4x12 Nights 7p-7a, weekdays, EOW, float
  • 25 Floor Beds, 6 Step-Down Beds, 6 Peds Beds.
  • Multidisciplinary team approach in providing nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients.
  • A six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit provides an intermediate level of care.
  • Ideal candidates could have a background of PCU, IMC, Trauma, SDU.
  • Travelers would not be required to see the Peds patients.
  • It is possible that the unit could use a traveler for floor beds only - this will be discussed at interview.
  • Ratios: Floor RN: 1:5 / SDU: 1:3
  • Orientation/Start Dates held every other week on Thursday.
  • 2 Years of RN Experience Required; 1 Year in-specialty Experience required.
  • 1st Time Travelers Accepted if experienced in ICU / Trauma.
  • 36 or 48hr contract options.
  • Every other weekend required.

    • 2 Years of RN Experience Required.
    • 1 Year in-specialty Experience required.
    • WV/Compact RN License required - can submit with pending RN license.
      • Schedule Information
      • 3x12 or 4x12 Nights 7p-7a, weekdays, EOW, float.
      • Every other weekend required.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Clinician can be floated within scope to meet facilities needs.
        • Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests.
        • Submission Requirements: Perm employees cannot return to CAMC as a traveler for 2 years after last day worked perm.
          • Additional Details
          • BLS, ACLS required.
          • Physical must be completed within 1 year of start and updated annually.
          • Flu Shot: Please DO NOT SEND ANYONE WHO REFUSES FLU SHOT WITHOUT MEDICAL PROOF.
          • Covid Vaccine NOT required.
